Film Volt Group (UK) and iCogitate Productions Inc. (Canada) are delighted to confirm that Julianne White is the screenwriter of the upcoming Canadian–UK co-production, Daring Greatly.
About Julianne White
Julianne White is an accomplished writer and storyteller with a sharp ability to capture both human complexity and raw emotion. With years of experience across screenwriting, journalism, and creative development, her work often explores themes of identity, truth, and resilience.
Her script for Daring Greatly has already been praised for its balance of true-crime authenticity with cinematic intensity, ensuring that the story honours real-life events while delivering a gripping thriller for global audiences.
About the Script
At its heart, Daring Greatly is a victim-focused narrative that chronicles the lives, struggles, and voices of Toronto’s LGBTQ+ community during a harrowing true-crime investigation. White’s screenplay elevates the voices of those who were too often silenced, giving dignity and agency to their stories while keeping audiences on the edge of their seats.
Why Julianne White?
“Julianne’s writing is fearless,” said Film Volt Group CEO and Lead Producer Mark Busby. “She has crafted a script that doesn’t just tell the story it immerses you in it. Her work brings both cinematic power and human compassion, making her the perfect writer for this project.”

A Landmark Production
With Andrew Morahan (Highlander III) attached to direct, and a growing ensemble cast that includes D’Andra Simmons, Tony Nixon, and Jessie Godderz, White’s screenplay is the foundation on which this ambitious international co-production is being built.
Currently in pre-production under the UK–Canada Co-Production Treaty, Daring Greatly is set to begin filming in Toronto in 2026.
